A Great way to volunteer, even with small children, is
handing out the newsletters to our neighbors. We estimate that we hand
out over 1,000 flyers. We have typically mapped out the areas and divided the streets among the family volunteers. We try to have the kids help as much as possible. It gives them a better "hands on" understanding of the values we are trying to instill by working hard to distribute the newsletters, helping on pick-up day and finally delivering the contributions to the shelters. If you want to volunteer to distribute the newsletters on some long walks with your family, please contact us. We have targeted one month before the pickup day which gives everyone about four weeks to get their contributions together.
