Who We Help...

After researching our area for a shelter that Simply A Mom could distribute our donations to, we have chosen a wonderful organization called Home of the Sparrow.  They have two shelters in McHenry County, one in Crystal Lake and the other in McHenry. 

As we continue to help our McHenry County neighbors, we welcome any suggestions for additional shelters / crisis centers that we can support. 

Home of the Sparrow's mission is to empower individuals and families to eliminate homelessness, joblessness, and hunger by teaching self-reliance, independence, and self-discipline. 

In pursuit of its mission, Home of the Sparrow advocates with local community, religious and governmental agencies to initiate policies and implement programs that prevent homelessness, joblessness and hunger in the communities we serve.

If you think that you might have something to contribute, email us to let us know to pickup from your house.  We will cover the neighborhood but an email will ensure that we do not miss you.
